Where I spend most of my day…..

As I said last week, I moved into our new office building. The company I work for grew so much over the last 4 years that they finally decided to merge all of us into one big office. It really is the state of the art office.  So many people I know hate their job or location, and I am so blessed to love my job and live only 2 min from the office. Also, I have some of the best co workers anyone could ask for and have created friendships that will last a lifetime.

This is the view of most of my day. I can see everything that goes on outside in the parking lot. Love it!

Birthday Celebration

Where did the weekend go? This weekend went by faster than any in a while….maybe because time flies when your having fun!
Next Saturday is actually the fiance’s birthday but we will be spending the weekend at home with our families so why not celebrate a wknd earlier with our friends??  We did exactly that. If anyone is familiar with LA & knows about Superior Bar & Grill you know what a good time it is. The drinks are amazing and they are known for the margaritas…yumm!!! Some of my closest friends came out & helped us celebrate Reids birthday.Plus it was just a good excuse to get dressed up and head out on the town. Of course, it would rain but it didn’t stop up. It is very rare that we can all get together so I was very thankful everyone took time to come meet us for dinner. Being a grown up isn’t always fun…..everyone is so busy!

Sunday I cooked a homeade dinner just for the two of us. But the best part of all was the cake. Thanks pinterest and Paula Dean for the recipe!

I’m Loving that I found my dream wedding dress this past weekend! I still cant believe it.

I’m Loving the fall weather we are having this week. Every morning it has been a crisp 65 degrees and it cant get much better than that.

I’m Loving that Fall is just right around the corner. When I say I’m itching to start my fall decorating, I am! Hobby Lobby and Pinterest has broke me the last month but at least my house will be presh with fall decor!

I’m Loving all the bauble necklaces right now. I’ve recently purchased 2-pink and black. They are sooo fun to wear and even layer with!

I’m Loving anything Burlap. Burlap wreaths(yes I have one for Fall), flags, runners, etc. Can’t go wrong decorating with Burlap.

I’m Loving my newest Mac Lipglass….color is Nymphette. Now the pic below is a little deceiving bc it really isnt this pink but the frost look is beautiful! It is def worth the purchase.

Fun Filled Weekend

As you can probably see from my latest blogs(yes I know I’ve been MIA), I’ve been so so busy.  So to get back into the blogging mode, I’ll take one project/adventure/weekend at a time. I’ve missed this soo much!

 

One of my favorite things about Fall is football. Whether it be High School football, college, or pro, I love it. My younger sis is a hs cheerleader and it’s a must I go see her perform almost every Friday night. Ok I’m not going to lie, I love it almost as she does & wish so badly I was cheering again. This past Friday I went to the pep rally & football game….I know I’m such a great big sista!

Isn’t she just the cutest little thing? And I may be a little parcel but she is just as sweet too!

 

Saturday was seriously a day I’ve waited for a long time…..Wedding Dress Shopping!!!! I couldn’t sleep the night before I was so excited. I had the best group of girls experience the day with me too! My mom, Nana, Aunt Jan, sisters, and 2 of my bridemaids tagged along. I DID find the dress I went looking for. Now I’m wishing the wedding was only a few months away so I could wear it! Its beautiful and I can’t wait for the rest of the world to see it!

The whole group before I said YES to the Dress! It was everything I had dreamed about since I was a little girl.

 

My company just moved into our brand new gigantic office today so I spent half of yesterday decorating and unpacking my new office. I do probably get to excited about things like this. Once the office is completely decorated, I will post pics!

Showers, Showers, & More Showers

Figured my blog title is perfect considering Isaac is coming for us shortly. I’m praying it will not be as bad as we all think but if so, I pray everyone stays safe! However, today I’m blogging about all of the lovely baby and wedding showers that I’ve attended lately. Showers are so much fun…tons of gifts, food, and good friends.

 

The first shower I attended this month was my cousins bridal shower.  Liza received so many pretty gifts and houseware things! Makes me soo excited for mine!

 

My best friend is having a sweet baby boy so we had to celebrate in style! I wouldn’t have had her shower in any other way either. Haley had a wonderful shower and Liam will have clothes until he is 3! And thanks to Pinterest we even had a Mimosa Bar set up for the non prego ladies.

 

The last shower of the summer was for a very special friend of mine/cousin in law to be & her sweet baby boy. I hate that I don’t have more pics because she had such a cute shower too. The theme was circus and when I say it was all out….it was. Popcorn machines, cotton candy, sprinkle ice cream cones, etc.

 

Now if all these sweet babies would just hurry up and get here! Who else has baby fever right now??? (Reid please don’t kill me)

Engagement Details & Birthday Celebrations @ the Beach!

I promised I would share all about our engagement so I am! Where to even start??? The whole thing was more than I could of ever imagined.

While vacationing with my family in Destin, FL, my birthday fell on the same week. Reid knows how I am about birthdays so he decided to take me out on a special date for just the two of us the day before my birthday. Because of the bad weather, we were unable to get on the beach that day. Throughout the day, Reid mentioned walking on the beach after dinner but I hadn’t thought a thing of it(little did I know). Dinner came around and he acted fine….no shaking, sweaty palms, or anything! Scary how good he is at this acting. He seriously picked the most romantic spot for dinner at Louisiana Laginappe.

 

Thank goodness the weather had cleared up by then and we were able to take our walk on the beach. After finding a quite spot on the beach, we sat and talked a while but nothing out of the ordinary. I stood up to brush sand off of me and my dress and in a split sec he was on one knee holding a rock!!! Reid said that I said YES before he even asked me but I can’t tell you what happened…I was in shock!!!  As a little girl, I’ve imagined getting engaged on the beach but never told him that because I didn’t want to put pressure on the poor guy. I think he’s a keeper!

After taking it all in and calling some very special family and friends, we headed to the condo to share the news with the rest of our family. The night couldn’t have been more perfect.  Oh and of course I had to buy all the wedding magazines in Destin! Even my fiancé enjoyed the reading material!

The next day was my actual birthday and where else but the beach would I rather be??? For dinner my parents took me to the one and only Ruth Chris’s Steakhouse. We even had our own room to ourselves….maybe that’s because there was 10 of us! It was def a birthday to remember.

We’re Engaged!!!!

  Yep you heard right. Reid put a ring on it & I couldn't have asked for a more perfect night. I have so many blog post to catch up on and I will be posting more about our wonderful vacation but I just wanted to share the exciting news and a few photos. So brides or brides to be please share your secrets, advice, etc!!!!

 

   

 

We are so excited and blessed to have such wonderful family and friends to share this special time with. I couldn’t wait to share with the blogging world as well!
