Football & Friends

If you have a man in your life or better yet living in the same house and you, I’m sure you can relate to my weekend. Actually its every weekend for that matter. I’m now spitting out stats and names of players like a pro!

My fiance basically drug me out of bed to get dressed and get ready to meet his friends and some family for lunch and to watch football that started at 11 am. Really??? I honestly didn’t mind a bit because it was some friends that we don’t get to see a lot so it was def fun times. Some of the girls and I even left for a bit to shop at Ulta. Win Win for everyone! Later that afternoon we headed out to tailgate for the Texas A&M v. La Tech game that was played in our very own Shreveport, LA.

We tailgated with friends, co workers, and I even met a new blog friend. I met the sweetest lady through Reid’s co worker & we hit it off immediately. Somehow we got to talking about blogs and we read a lot of the same ones. Now we are followers of each other. Its so neat because I’ve never met an actual blog friend. Check out Leslie's blog sometime.

The night was fun but pray we don’t attend a college football game that starts at 8pm ever again. I need a lot of rest after this weekend.

    Fall is in the Air

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. The weather, clothes, boots, food, football, and the list goes on. Every since Hob Lob put out the fall décor this year, I’ve shopped and hoarded fall décor. Finally this weekend I got around to decorating & crafting with a little help from pinterest. Saturday was perfect for Fall decorating. The weather was perfect!

Is the mum planted in the pumpkin not the cutest thing? You can find the step by step instructions here.

The wreath could have been a little fluffier but its not to shabby for the first wreath ever made.

    mums

Of course it isnt fall without mums. They are my favorite fall flower!

    fall house

The inside of my house hasn’t seen much fall décor yet but here is what I’ve gotten so far.

After all the décor was out, Reid made homeade stew and I whipped up Paula’s Mexican Cornbread. Everything was so yummy. Doesn’t this weather just put you in the best mood?

    Baby Love

Hope everyone had a good weekend as I sure did! Nothing to eventful except the fact my bestie had her sweet baby boy Friday evening. She didn't have the easiest time having him but he is here and both are safe & sound. Liam came into this world weighing 7 lbs 9 oz and 21 inches & is the most precious thing ever.

And I can't forget about the birthday boy. We celebrated Reid's 25th birthday for the 2nd time with his family and watching collgege football. It doesnt get much better than that!

    Organizing into Fall

For so many months now, I have had a list of small projects I’ve wanted to complete. Somehow I could never find the time though….story of my life. A few weeks ago our little area was some what affected by Hurricane Isaac so it was the perfect time to stay in and ORGANIZE & clean out!  Some may think I’m crazy but the O word gets me so excited.

Project #1: Closet…..cleaned out, bought new bins, put away most of summer clothes & shoes

Can you say Cardi <3??? You do see a whole rack of just cardigans!

Project #2: Storage closet…..I have a huge extra closet in my garage that we recently turned into another closet. My sweets hung shelves and helped me hang all winter light jackets, hoodies, and sweats up. The shelving made even more room for the overflow of boots.

Don’t worry, these arent my only jackets, hoodies, coats, etc. I still have to get those from storage at my moms.

Project #3: Utility room….who am I kidding? I don’t really have a utility room but I do have a space for my washer and dryer with shelves. Basically the only organizing that went on here was putting detergent, dryer sheets, etc into cute bins over the w&d. But hey, at least its organized and has somewhat of color.

Project #4:Front porch……this was more of Reids project than mine, I wont take all the credit. He cleaned out my flower pots, hanging baskets, etc. to get ready for fall mums & plants. I put away some of my summer décor and put out the Texas A&M flag. Our house is in full football & fall mode.

I have a few more small projects I would love to get done before the holidays so I’m crossing my fingers I’ll find time.

Where I spend most of my day…..

As I said last week, I moved into our new office building. The company I work for grew so much over the last 4 years that they finally decided to merge all of us into one big office. It really is the state of the art office.  So many people I know hate their job or location, and I am so blessed to love my job and live only 2 min from the office. Also, I have some of the best co workers anyone could ask for and have created friendships that will last a lifetime.

Front and back of my desk area…..Now mind you that I’m not through decorating. I am looking for the perfect wall art to go on the wall you see the chairs against in the pic.

This is the view of most of my day. I can see everything that goes on outside in the parking lot. Love it!
