On the Road Again….

Happy Friday! It felt like Friday took forever to arrive…..maybe that’s because I leave for vacation tomorrow! But first, I have my best friends baby shower & I couldn’t be more excited for her. It seems like yesterday she greeted me as I showed up for 3rd grade as the new kid. Crazy we are old enough to have babies!

I mean isn’t she adorbs??? She is going to be the best little mommy to a sweet baby boy.

 

For the next week I will probably be MIA blogger friends,but who wouldn’t with this view????

My Beach Style

Since I’ll be departing for the white sandy beach this weekend, I thought it was only appropriate to share some of my favorite beach styles. I know that being on the beach only requires a swimsuit but in my world….accessories are the key to making the outfit!

I finally found a fringe swimsuit top too! Praying it makes it here in time. My floppy hats and hair accessories are already packed and ready to go. Nowhere in TX or LA can you just wear a floppy hat or fedora on a normal day so I’ll be taking advantage of these accessories! Hairstyles are one of my fav things to add to an ensemble as well…..however, its not my cup of tea. It isn’t a natural talent of mine so hopefully with a few pinterest tutorials I’ll be able to pull it off.

I’ve also found so many cute beach ideas thanks to the blogging world! Keep posting your presh outfits girls!

I’m loving my new summer foundation/tinted moisturizer. I have the hardest time finding foundation that has just enough coverage yet allows the natural look and this does it! I feel like it gives me the “glow” I’ve wanted. Thanks Smashbox!

I’m loving the fact that our family beach vacay is only 10 days away! Lord knows I need a break.

I’m loving all the organized printables found to enable my OCD. I seriously created a notebook yesterday will all my newest printables….yes I need help!

1. What is the best trip you've ever been on?

My fav trip was by far NYC. My bestie and I jet setted to the Big Apple for 6 days full of shopping, shows, site seeing, and SATC Tour!

2. What is your best idea for a girls weekend trip?

A girls weekend trip would consist of my best friends, lots of wine, shopping, & laughter. And that all could take place anywhere!

3. What is your best idea for a couples trip?

I imagine a couples trip somewhere on the beach….the beach itself is so romantic anyways. At some point a couples massage and dinner on the beach would happen too.

4. What is the best vacation on the cheap?

Texas has lots of cheap & wknd getaways. I have been dying to visit Gruene Hall & New Braunfels which would be perfect for anyone on a budget.

5. What is the place you most want to visit?

Bora Bora is one place I’ve been wanting to visit for a while. I imagine waking up in a tiki hut with no worries in the world…..I will visit one day(hopefully)!!

6. What are your vacation necessities?

My vacation necessities consist of a cute swimsuit, my nook, a camera, cute pair of flops, & sundresses. Can’t go wrong with these necessities!

1 Year Celebration & Lake Fun

Should I introduce myself again? I know I know I’ve been MIA but It’s been a busy 2 weeks friends!

Reid and I recently celebrated our 1 year anniversary @ one of the best steakhouses in town. Snaps for him for the beautiful flowers and perfect night. I must admit, I felt pretty special getting dressed up and being wined and dined that night!

                              

Not to toot my own horn or anything but I die over this LBD….anyone want to take a wild guess at where it was purchased from???? Marshalls….can you believe it???

 

Enough of the mushy stuff…for the 4th of July we spent 5 days at Lake Sam Rayburn. Goodness I didn’t realize how much I needed a break from work. It was so nice to be off and spend time with fam & friends. Not gonna lie, I wasn’t to excited at first about “roughing it” travel trailer style, but at the end of the weekend I didn’t want to leave. Tons of time in the sun was spent with some delish cocktails & catching up with old friends. Sometimes it’s the little things in life we forget to enjoy!

Happy 4th of July

Happy Tuesday & 4th of July(just a day early)!!! This makes me so excited for a few reasons….2 day work week, fun in the sun, & time with lots of fam & friends. I’ll be spending my 4th of July week/wknd at the lake with my family, boyfriend, & friends. These days we don’t get much time to relax and live carefree & I plan on doing just that this week.

Thanks to Pinterest I’ve found so many cute ideas for the 4th of July cookout.

     

 

Now don’t be fooled, I probably wont get around to making half of these things but it was a good idea right?? Of course, I will be making my fav cocktail, Sangria!

Since we will be camping at the lake, there was no need for a super cute 4th outfit or anything But if we were to attend a 4th of July party, I’d def be wearing something like this:

 

I’ve also found a few cute hairstyles that I think I’ll try this week too. A presh hairstyle can make the swimsuit attire!

 

Have I mentioned lately how ready I am for 5:00 today??? The lake & a cocktail is calling my name!

1. What is your favorite store to shop at?

I can find almost anything I need at Forever 21 & Nordstrom. However, I do spend lots of $$$ at a local boutique, Simply Chic Boutique. LOOVEE IT!

 2. If you could afford anything and everything, which designer brand would you covet?

Ohh I’d def shop at Chanel, LV, & Saks….ALL THE TIME!

3. Must-have closet staple?

Cardi’s, black pants(work attire of course), basic sundresses, & neutral color heels

4. Favorite kind of shoes?

Wedges…..they can make any outfit

5. Best clothing deal you've ever gotten (sale or amazing find)?

I can't think of anything at the moment, but I do love finding great sales!

6. Style you'd love to try?

Because I’m so short, I never feel like high waist skirts and blouses tucked in look presh but I’d love to find the right attire and try it! And of course that would call for new heels to complete the look!
